The Office of the Attorney General of the Nation in Colombia is an autonomous control body that is in charge of investigating, sanctioning, intervening, and preventing irregularities committed by government officials, public officials, individuals who exercise public functions, and State agencies. The Office of the Comptroller General of the Republic is the highest fiscal control body of the state. As such, it has the mission of ensuring the proper use of resources and public goods and contributing to the modernization of the state, through continuous improvement actions in the different public entities in Colombia.

The elections are through popular vote and its members must be at least 30 years old. The Judicial Branch manage the justice in Colombia. It is compose by organisms like the Supreme Court of Justice, the Constitutional Court, the State of Council, the Supreme Council of Judiciary, Special Jurisdictions and the General Prosecutor of the Nation.
