The Office of the Attorney General of the Nation in Colombia is an autonomous control body that is in charge of investigating, sanctioning, intervening, and preventing irregularities committed by government officials, public officials, individuals who exercise public functions, and State agencies.


The Office of the Comptroller General of the Republic is the highest fiscal control body of the state. As such, it has the mission of ensuring the proper use of resources and public goods and contributing to the modernization of the state, through continuous improvement actions in the different public entities in Colombia.

National Electoral Council.  Regulate, inspect, monitor and control all electoral activity of political groups and their candidates; exercise surveillance and control of the electoral organization and ensure the development of electoral processes under conditions of full guarantees.

NATIONAL FRONT

  Date: Wednesday, september 16th, 2020. Topic: National Front. National Front   was a period in the  history  of  Colombia  in which the two main  political parties , the  Liberal Party  and the  Conservative Party , agreed to rotate power, intercalating for a period of four  presidential terms . The National Front Presidents were  Alberto Lleras Camargo  (Liberal),  Guillermo León Valencia  (Conservative),  Carlos Lleras Restrepo  (Liberal), and  Misael Pastrana Borrero  (Conservative). The growing worries that the regime of the military dictatorship of  Gustavo Rojas Pinilla  (1953-1957) expanded to become a populist dictatorship and the creation of a third political party united both Liberal and Conservative parties against the regime.
